I’ve been following Huda Beauty on Instagram for a while now. Even though I’ve tried and failed many times to do my makeup like a professional MUA, I still enjoy looking at the pictures she posts of talented makeup artists…but I’m not enjoying how much of my money I’ve spent on makeup and makeup brushes since following Huda Beauty! These makeup artists make it look so easy!! I still haven’t figured out how to use the Naked Palette that I got for Christmas last year.
I recently started following Huda Beauty on Snapchat and her life looks so exciting!! I swear I love her even more after watching her Snaps. She’s just so…real. She’s real and humble and you can tell that she is truly grateful for her fans. After all, it was social media that really gave her a boost in her career. Starting as a beauty blogger, then blowing up on Instagram to then creating her own makeup brand, Huda is the person that beauty bloggers look up to. They’re all hoping for a repost of their picture or makeup tutorial on Huda’s Instagram page to get their ‘Insta-fame’.
I have to admit, I was super excited when Huda ‘liked’ and commented on my last drawing of her that I posted on Instagram. I genuinely felt a little famous whilst watching 327 likes rolling in on my Instagram page.
I find it difficult to time to sketch when I’m working, so I thought I’d try adapting my art style to a less time consuming one. I tried the minimalist approach in this new sketch of Huda Kattan and I actually really like it. It’s simple, clean and still defines her most dominant features. She’s just so beautiful!!
Also, her makeup brand has come to London AHHHHHH finally!! Can’t wait to flutter my Samantha Huda Lashes!
